Hype In Business

Posted by Editor on January 25, 2010

Watch This Video To See An Example of Hype.

First, let me say that I realize Quixtar/Amway is being used as the example in this video, but keep in mind that it’s not the company that’s making outrageous claims; it’s the upline “big shots” making them. In other words, if you own an ethical company and a salesman of yours makes outrageous claims about a product or service, is it you who is unethical or the salesman?

The problem with Network Marketing is that, by its very nature, there will always be zealots who make statements that may not be completely true in order to get signups. In addition, some of them want to get hold of the newbie’s name list so they can sell those names later as leads when people drop out.

Gems In Life’s Treasure Box

Posted by Editor on January 25, 2010

What gems have you put into your Life’s Treasure Box? We need to collect the type of gems that cannot be washed away in a life storm or stolen by a thief. Family, virtue, love, worthiness, trust, integrity, hope, and loyalty to correct principles are the type of gems that cannot be taken from us. Those are the type of gems that I have collected, and I hope you are presently collecting as well. Otherwise, anything else can be lost and leave you feeling empty and without value.

I ask this question because many of us in these times spend a lot of time collecting the wrong type of gems and when things go bad and we lose our job, our home, our cars, and all the stuff we’ve collected in our lives that we believe gives us worth and value, then we feel destroyed and want to run away from our life or some commit suicide…all because they lost material things that don’t really matter.

Do you know people like this? Are you a person like this? Are you happy now but are afraid of what your life would be like if you lost all that you have now and your standing in society? Do you believe that you will lose your friends and family if you lose your income and prestige that you have now? If you feel any of these feelings then you need to start collecting other treasure right now that will be there no matter what happens to your job and your income.

Smooth Stones

Posted by Editor on January 25, 2010

/files/Pictures/stones for men's ministry page.jpg

We need to become more aware of the Smooth Stones that show up in life and help us overcome difficulties.

Smooth Stones are sometimes hard to recognize because they come in different ways. They can be found in a commercial, in a movie, in a story, or even in a joke. They are seen in a highway bill board or in a scenic view. Smooth Stones are all around us but we may not recognize them at first.

Smooth Stones are found in things that we see or in thoughts we have had but did not understand until someone put them into words that we can comprehend. At times, Smooth Stones come from people the Spirit uses to guide us. Smooth Stones also help us understand what promotes peace in our particular situations.

One of the greatest lessons we will ever learn is that enduring hardships, disappointments, adversities, and afflictions is necessary to learn and advance in our understanding.

Regardless of circumstances, it is within our ability to find peace during trials if we know how to go about it, and if we are ready to make that commitment.

In order to protect peace and our peace of mind, we need to understand what principles need to be complied with before this blessing can exist in our lives on a regular basis.

Getting Quality Leads

Posted by Editor on January 25, 2010

Gathering Leads

You can gather leads the “Old Fashion Way” by Cold Contacting people. This means you meet people that you did not know before and start up a conversation with them. You need to go to places where people gather (at the Mall, the park, church, social gatherings, grocery stores, car repair places) and begin a conversation with them. The conversation should cover the F.O.R.M. questions.

F.O.R.M. is talking about their

F family

O occupation/job

R recreation/travel, do they have places they want to go and boats or RV’s they want to buy

M message that you can help them with the concerns and desires they’ve mentioned

F.O.R.M. WILL BACKFIRE IF YOU ARE INSINCERE AND COME OFF AS A SALESMAN.

People don’t want to be sold but they do want to buy. They will buy what you want them to when you allow them to sell themselves. They will buy your marketing plan or products when they see the value in it for themselves, how it will improve their lives, and how they can do it. In other words, it’s their idea to join your organization or to buy your products or service.

THE NEW WAY, THE SMARTER WAY WILL BE TO ATTRACT PEOPLE THAT WANT WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER. They have already made the decision to look or they would not have found you on the Internet. Your job is to convince them to look at your offer. You do that with a good Contact Page that allows them to get the gist of what you are doing and how they benefit. They will then fill out the form for you to contact them.

Do you see the value in contacting people the second way? People are already looking for you, they already want to buy, and all they need is a reason to contact you and not someone else. Your job is to give them that reason.

Improve Your Networking Skills

Posted by Editor on May 30, 2009

I just completed a twelve week course with Dale Carnegie. Not only is it worth three college credits, but it adds value to my business goals as well. I highly recommend you take this course when you have the opportunity. Not one person in our class realized the impact this course would have on them and their profession. We each had different reasons for taking the course, and yet the experience turned out to be much more rewarding than we had expected.

Because I’ve been in Network Marketing for over thirty years, and because I’ve attended all the seminars and read all the books (including “How to Win Friends and Influence People”), I expected to learn very little from the course. All I wanted was to add the Dale Carnegie Training Course to my portfolio for credibility reasons. Instead, what I got was smoothed out rough edges of my character and the skills I already had developed into better communication and more confidence in my ability and expertise.

The Dale Carnegie Training is designed to be personal in application. As a result, personal examination caused a huge change in my thinking and attitude. I now have more confidence in teaching what I know, more understanding of how people think, and how to be more direct in my presentations.

With this increased confidence, I am starting up my own Training Center to help people in the following areas:

  • Develop leadership skills and become a more effective leader
  • Become a more persuasive communicator
  • Reduce stress at home and work
  • Improve problem solving skills at work and home
  • Develop techniques to find a job by presenting ones self in a better light
  • I am also putting together workshops to help families communicate better with each other.

I will not anything scheduled at this time, but plan to begin the training in late July or early August. I will keep you informed on when I plan to do a session, the subject of the session, and where. If you would like to schedule a home session for family and friends, contact me by email and we will talk about your needs.

In the meantime, I advise you to start reading the books listed below that are most useful in the Dale Carnegie program. You can get them online or in any bookstore. You can also click on these links and see amazon.com’s full page of Dale Carnegie books.

Judith L. Sherman Answers Questions on New Site

Posted by Editor on March 26, 2009

You don’t have to ask me any questions if you feel uncomfortable about it, but if you have one, please feel free to ask it. Relax, there are NO STRINGS attached, no gathering information for a name list or mailing list, none of that maketing ploy that some people use when they offer free information.

I am not saying that I don’t ever offer free information with the intent to build a name list and invite people to other things that I offer, but I NEVER spam. I hate spam! You have to request a subscription to get my information. The truth is, my offer is pure and a sincere desire to share the vast knowledge I have in my head to help you with your situations.

I have coached people with great results. They have been able to get refocused when they have freaked out about the economy. I had some who get overwhelmed and can not find their way out. I helped them with this and get them back on track. That is the job of a business coach. I have also helped people build their own websites too.

I am not asking you to let me coach you, I am only one person so I have a limited number of people I can take on at one time, but I do have a new website that I set up yesterday. It allows you to ask me a question. That way everyone can benefit from your question and the answer to it.

I set up the site to function much like facebook and twitter. However, it is different from facebook and twitter because you don’t follow people and leave little messages for your friends. It is for business comments and questions only or for questions about life and family if you wish, so please don’t abuse the space. Go check out the site at http://NeedCoaching.wordpress.com/ and leave me a comment or question. If I don’t get the support then there is no reason to keep up the site.

Yahoo Warns of Worm Attack

Posted by Editor on March 9, 2009

Reposting

As Facebook works to make itself more relevant and timely for its growing member base with a profile page makeover, attackers seem to be working overtime to steal the identities of the friends, fans and brands that connect though the social-networking site.

Indeed, Facebook has seen five different security threats in the past week. According to Trend Micro, four new hoax applications are attempting to trick members into divulging their usernames and passwords. And a new variant of theKoobface worm is running wild on the site, installing malware on the computers of victims who click on a link to a fake YouTube video.

The Koobface worm is dangerous. It can be dropped by other malware and downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites, Trend Micro reports. When attackers execute the malware, it searches for cookies created by online social networks. The latest variant is targeting Facebook, but earlier variants have also plagued MySpace.

Koobface’s Wicked Agenda

Once Koobface finds the social-networking cookies, it makes a DNS query to check IP addresses that correspond to remote domains. Trend Micro explains that those servers can send and receive information about the affected machine. Once connected, the malicious user can remotely perform commands on the victim’s machine.

“Once cookies related to the monitored social-networking Web sites are located, it connects to these Web sites using the user log-in session stored in the cookies. It then navigates through pages to search for the user’s friends. If a friend has been located, it sends an HTTP POST request to the server,” Trend Micro reports.

Ultimately, the worm’s agenda is to transform the victim’s computer into a zombie and form botnets for malicious purposes. Koobface attempts to do this by composing a message and sending it to the user’s friends. The message contains a link to a Web site where a copy of the worm can be downloaded by unsuspecting friends. And the cycle repeats itself.

An Attractive Face(book)

Malware authors are investing more energy in Facebook and other social-networking sites because that effort pays off, according to Michael Argast, a security analyst at Sophos. Facebook alone has more than 175 million users, which makes it an attractive target.

“Many computer users have been conditioned not to open an attachment from an e-mail or click a link found within, but won’t think twice about checking out a hot new video linked to by a trusted friend on Facebook,” Argast said.

Argast called the Koobface worm a mix of something old and something new. The new is using social networks as a method to spread malware. The old is using fake codec Trojans linked to a saucy video to induce the user to install the malware.

Argast said people can protect themselves by running up-to-date antivirus software, restricting which Facebook applications they install, thinking twice before clicking on links from friends and never, never installing a codec from some random Web site in the hopes of catching some celebrity in a compromised situation.

“I would expect to see more attacks on Facebook,” Argast said. “As long as this is a successful propagation method, the bad guys will double down and invest more. They are entirely motivated by financial gain. If it pays, they’ll continue to romp in your social playgrounds.”

Doing What You Love

Posted by Editor on February 23, 2009

Listen to Steve Job’s story of how he dropped out of college, was fired from his own company that he started (Apple), and survived cancer. Hear how he made all the challenges become a blessing. Very inspirational for those who are not sure what they want or when things have not gone as planned.

Can I Help You? Yes I can!

Posted by Editor on February 22, 2009

Check out the new site I’ve set up to help you with your business goals. It is titled: Your Income Solution, Assists Independent Business Owners And Network Marketers.

If you’ve been in business for awhile, you know how complicated it can get sometimes, in the field of Network Marketering. I’ve been there and back, from failure to success and success to failure, so I know what makes people see their dreams come true or not in business.

Everywhere you turn, you see ads that promote advice from so-called experts. They offer their expertise as mentors or business coaches.

Coaches seem to be “a dime a dozen” on the Internet, so that fact may cause you to wonder if you really need a coach. It also begs the question, “If I have an impressive upline, do I still need a coach?” The answer is “YES!”, if you are serious about succeeding in the field of Network Marketing. The next question is “Who should I hire?”

You should watch some of the videos on this site and see if the teaching is helpful. If you agree with what I teach, let me help you.

I am anxious to work with positive and motivated people. If you have a negative attitude because life keeps beating up on you, let me help you get that spark back into your life. “Living a life without purpose and vision is like a flower without scent or a honey bee without nectar.” (Quote is from Judith Sherman’s book: The Treasure Box Series, Volume I: Peace, Joy, and Happiness. It’s from the chapter titled: Create a Life with Purpose.)

If you are looking for something more than what you are presently getting, work with me for awhile, it’s free for the first five sessions, and see what we can do together.
