Hype In Business

Watch This Video To See An Example of Hype.

First, let me say that I realize Quixtar/Amway is being used as the example in this video, but keep in mind that it’s not the company that’s making outrageous claims; it’s the upline “big shots” making them. In other words, if you own an ethical company and a salesman of yours makes outrageous claims about a product or service, is it you who is unethical or the salesman?

The problem with Network Marketing is that, by its very nature, there will always be zealots who make statements that may not be completely true in order to get signups. In addition, some of them want to get hold of the newbie’s name list so they can sell those names later as leads when people drop out.

Downline Stop Producing

Upline in network marketing put a lot of pressure on downline to perform, especially when someone stops producing or begins to give excuses. Because a person seems uncommitted or confused about what he or she really wants, an upline will often drop working with him or her all together because it isn’t worth the time. It’s just “The Nature of the Beast” for most Network Marketers. It’s a sad story, but one I hear over and over again.

The problem here is that many upline do not take the time to understand why people quit producing. In fact, they view excuses as non-committal or lazy. Let’s talk about why someone may stop producing in a Network Marketing business.
